Chipmunks

Chipmunks are common inhabitants of Michigan’s forested areas, as they love to hide in trees, logs and underground dens. They constantly are looking for food and are perpetual nibblers. You’ll find them scurrying around yards looking for acorns, nuts, insects, berries and seeds.

They are not very fond of building nests inside of buildings or in yards, as they are very shy creatures and avoid contact with humans and animals. However, if they see food sources like insects enter a dwelling, they’ll follow suit and set up a small nest. Once inside, they’ll forage for dry snacks or pet food. They are very loud, always chirping and making sounds, so they do become quite the pest when inside of a home.

Chipmunks are small rodents, only growing to 6”, not including their 3” tails. They weigh less than a pound and are easily distinguishable by their brown and white fur with black stripes running down their backs. Their cheeks have pouches capable of holding a lot of food when foraging. Distinctive signs of a chipmunk’s presence include piles of seeds, tracks, holes in the ground and uprooted plants.

The wildlife experts at Solidified Pest Control are easily able to evaluate if a chipmunk has sheltered inside of a home. We locate any potential entry points and are able to seal up the areas, preventing chipmunks and other critters from entering. We then are able to find the chipmunks inside of a home, humanely trap them and remove them from your property.

If you suspect chipmunks are nesting in your home, contact the experts at Solidified Pest Control immediately to humanely remove them before they invite their family!

They responded within less than an hour of my leaving a voicemail. Then, they were at our house within 4 hours. They assessed the situation, inspected, and took steps to take care of the problem. He also provided us with some suggestions as to keep from having issues in the future.

It went great. No more wasps after 48 hrs. And it took only 15 minutes to apply the treatment. The man that came (I forgot his name but I believe it's a small family business) was very serious and knowledgeable. Also he was the first one to respond and be able to show up after I contacted 4 or 5 different pest exterminators.
