When distinguishing a centipede from a millipede, noting the number of legs and the type of body is imperative. Millipedes have two pairs of legs per body segment versus the centipede\u2019s one pair. The body type of a millipede is puffier and rounder than that of a centipede, who has a particularly flat body.
